Art + Culture = Sean

Sean Carpenter is probably the best artist you’ve never heard of and with good reason. For the last three years, he has been honing his vocals, songwriting and dancing, yes, dancing capabilities in order to give you, the viewer / listener a better performance live. Sean credits his abilities to having great teachers and consistently applying foundational principles related to each respective discipline such as singing scales, writing each respective project and practice songs that didn’t make the cut, dance exercises, vocabulary exercises, and more. He believes that being a great artist is about delivering powerful, crisp vocals relative to sounds you can make with your voice and the feeling that is evoked when those sounds made. Additionally, he promotes using a wide variety of vocabulary in his work, often providing a stream of consciousness feel as seen in Sean in Snellville, a bombastic vernacular as illustrated in Forces of Nature Vol. 1, or romantic woos and affectionate lyrics as heard in Sabrina Core. He believes dancing along to the music helps you understand what the artist is trying to convey because your body instinctively picks up what the music is trying to tell you both vocally and/or instrumentally. One thing is for sure, Sean Patterson is here to make a dent in the rock/pop space and there’s nowhere to go but up.
